This film looks kind of interesting, I want to know if its worth picking up. If you like it, indicate what other types of movies you like please.

Thanks,
Marc

...for a detailed review of this film and the DVD, take a look here:
http://www.thebigpicturedvd.com/cgi-...i/Good_Morning

...as for my 'taste' in movies (or as some, I'm sure, would have it, my lack of taste) I count myself a 'movie slut' - meaning I'll watch anything.

To give you an idea: depending on my mood of the moment, I have the following DVDs lined up for viewing in the next few days:
- "Throne Of Blood" - Kurosawa's take on Shakespeare's Macbeth
- "The Iron Giant" - a feature cartoon
- François Truffaut's "The Woman Next Door" (R2 disc)
- Abel Ferrara's "Driller Killer" (R2)
- "Toy Story 2" (Loved the original!!!)
- the Royal National Theatre (London) production of Rogers & Hammerstein's "Oklahoma!" (R2)
- Fritz Lang's wartime "Hangmen Also Die"
- Star Trek - "The Wrath Of Khan"
- Wong Kar-wai's "Happy Together"
- "Tales From The Gimli Hospital" by Canada's Guy Maddin

...pretty eclectic, eh?!...

! !

I also have a review of the DVD. Here's the link:

I didn't much like the movie, so I guess I don't need to state which others I enjoy!

"Good Morning" is an excellent film. I would recommend it as a purchase, though, only if you are familiar with and a fan of Asian cinema, or at least foreign films in general. There's a fantastic section in American director/screenwriter Paul Schrader's book Transcendental Style

Thanks peeps. I rented the vhs from my University's Library. The movie ended up being ok. THe fart humor was just out of place, though I did appreciate it. I am glad I didn't buy this first without seeing it.
