Has anyone seen any early reviews of the first two The Prisoner DVD sets coming out this week by A&E? I'll be getting them regardless, but I am interested to know how squeaky clean the pic and sound turned out.

I only watched Arrival and some of the extras. Arrival was beautiful, the picture is great. The only flaw is the grainy ending after the end credits roll. The short piece that shows Rover coming out of the water is awfully grainy, due to its age more than anything I suppose that could have been cleaned up.

DVD 1's extras are okay. The interactive village is cute. The foreign language filing cabinet shots are great for the completist.

I can't wait to watch the other episodes. I can't emphasize enough how great Arrival looked and sounded.

I got the box sets through buy.com. They arrived on the Friday before release date. Sometimes this happens - it's great when it happens to you.

I went to my local Best Buy on Saturday, 10/28, and saw Volume 2 available for sale but no Volume 1 - makes me wonder how strict A&E held to the release date.

Once in a while this stuff happens.
