Just watched Arabian Nights on DVD and man am I impressed. This is one of the best made for TV movies I've seen in a long time. The special effects are very impressive equal to major studio release movies. John Leguizamo was incredible and played duel roles as the Genie in the Lamp and also very funny and fat Genie of the Ring. I must admit it started out a little slow but the get better about 30 minutes into the movie g especially when it gets to the story of Aladdin with Jason Scott Lee.
The only disappointing aspects where the 4:3 picture format and 2.0 Sound. If it had the widescreen format and 5.1 DD then I would definately add this DVD to my collection.
Anyway, great entertaining movie to rent and enjoy but not worth owning unless it was dirt cheap.
