I just watched the DIAMOND ENTERTAINMENT double bill DVD release of "First Spaceship on Venus" (FSOV) and "Journey to a Prehistoric Planet" (JPP) on a single side, single layer disk. To sum up the image quality in a word: TRASH! This is a travestry of a DVD. Really pathetic.

FSOV is presented in pan & scan. The colors are washed out, bloated, contrasty. Just awfull. JPP is full screen and looks a bit better than FSOV but still is really poor.

This disk makes Madacy look great.

If you're a fan of FSOV try out the new Image Entertainment release. It has to be better than this!
