Video is OK, dts sound is fantastic. The highlight for me (besides the guitar playing of the master,of course) is the extra rehearsal footage with an incredible solo by Wayne Shorter. No extra angles like some. I could have done without the sarah mclachlan bit but otherwise nice concert, great sound and 4 music videos (including smooth) included. Haven't explored everything on it yet.

DTS sound - a first for BMG, is incredibly enjoyable, video quality is very solid (although a full-frame presentation) and some great extras. BMG has done some good music titles in the past, but this really is their best work.

Haven't seen the DVD, but if this used the same footage that was seen in the Fox special, be prepared for very cheesy slow motion, picture zooms, color wipes, and far too many shots of dancers with not enough shots of the musicians.

This is a great concert, great musicians playing great music. If you have even a passing interest in Santana's music get this DVD.

Thanks for the input I will have to buy this, as I have the CD and saw the concert on TV.

Out of curiosity though, how come the review here dvdtalk.com and here currentfilm.com are exactly the same?

Same thing they showed on the TV. Edited nicely together includes some songs not shown on TV like the extended version of Smooth (pretty sweeeett). For the $17.99 (at most places) it's a steal!

I wish it was an unedited concert; oh well!! Axolotls gives Carlos a 9.27.

Yeah, and I agree that Sarah....
