I wouldn't recommend getting this movie. The movie builds a good base story, and then it ends. It seems like they ran out of time and had to end the movie or something.

How was Eye of the Beholder compared to her other new film Double Jeopardy?
I thought DJ was pretty good.

The first one was groundbreaking. The engine was awesome - Bard's Tale on crack - and the graphics were unparalleled. The second and third ones were big hits, too.
Oh, wait - you meant Eye of the Beholder the movie. Trust me, go play the video game, it's much more enjoyable.

First off, "Eye of the Beholder" is the worst film I have seen in several years.
"Double Jeopardy" is just a rip-off of "The Fugitive" with Tommy Lee Jones collecting a paycheck off of his Oscar win. It's not a bad film, but the premise is completely false. Ashley Judd states that since she was already convicted of killing her husband, then she could really kill him with impunity. This is incorrect, she was convicted of killing her husband at a certain time, on a certain day, at a certain place. That is the crime she could not be tried again on. If he was not dead, and she shot him somewhere else, that's a completely different charge of murder.

I have always wondered about this. I would never bother seeing Double Jeopardy, so I don't know: Do they really say that she is covered under double jeopardy if she kills him "again" or is that just something they say, but don't claim is correct?

buskerdog: Yes, at the end of the movie, they actually do say that she could kill him without suffering any criminal penalty.
Rarely have I seen such a bigger load of bull$hit as the main premise for a movie.
For those who might be curious, the "double jeopardy" clause does, indeed, mean you can't be criminally prosecuted more than once for the same criminal offense. However, the glaringly, absurdly obvious reason that this doesn't apply as Mr. Beresford would like is that the alleged murder on the boat and any actual murder which occurred afterwards would be two separate offenses - each separately prosecutable.
Yet another example of Hollywood equating the typical moviegoer's I.Q. with that of a jelly bean, and trying to foist a massive load of crap on us...

I agree with comments about the stupidity of the premise. According to the movie's interpretation of double jeopardy, that means that if I rob the 7-11 on Main Street and go to jail for that, I can rob it again when I'm released and not be punished. The movie suffers from a large variety of other flaws as well, but the premise alone put me off of it...

Double Jeopardy is one of the 10 worst films I’ve ever seen. It was like a really bad cheap crappy TV movie, and at least with that I’d have the ads to look forward to. Tommy Lee must’ve had some unexpected mortgage payments to persuade him to appear in that crap. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who liked that movie needs their head examining.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, this is one of the worst films I have ever seen. It's one of those movies where you keep watching because you can't believe what you're seeing. And I don't mean it's so bad, it's kind of fun. It's just painful.

"Greetings exhalted one", Luke Skywalker. "Yeah, shut up punk ass. Don't be coming up in my crib trying to take my hos, my servant droid, or none of my crap you Jedi busta!", Jabba the Hutt.
This was the original first draft of the script.
