I really looked forward to this film, but I have sat down to watch the disc 3 times and fell asleep about 15 minutes into it everytime. One of those times it was like 1 in the afternoon. That has to be a bad sign.

Even Elisabeth Shue wasn't enough to save this dreadful movie.

I liked Palmetto quite a bit, but I'm a big Elisabeth Shue fan, so that might have something to do with it. It's a quirky detective movie that grows on you. Kind of like Body Heat sans the talent. It's definately worth $8 IMO, but I know lots of people who hated this film. Considering a rental at Blockbuster is about $4.50 with tax, if you watch it twice you've more than paid for it. Good luck!
