HAs anyone seen this movie? I heard it was from the same folks as Das Boot. Is this a keeper?

It's not bad. Not gory like Private Ryan, but it has it's moments. One very cool scene has germans trying to stop a russian tank attack. As far as war films go (it's a very anti-war film), it is one of my favorites.

There's a good review of this film in the DVDTalk review section:

This is my favorite WW2 film. It helps to know about this period of WW2 but still one of the best.
