Can't tell you about the DVD but I saw it in the theater. It was by far the worst script ever written and THEN they put Robin Williams in it to top it off. I plan to spend the rest of my life saving up enough cash so I can buy the negatives and destroy them.

I thought the visuals were stunning and sound was great, too. However, as for the movie itself--mediocre at best, IMHO. I wouldn't recommend buying it (even though I did).

One of the most visually stunning renditions of second-grade theology out there. Profoundly underwhelming film, though.

I'm not going to defend the script, acting etc. I found the painterly landscape visuals in it unique and interesting. It's a reference quality 16x9 DVD and the directors commentary is a lot more interesting than listening to the dialog. On the plus side, speaking as a person who generally cannot stand Robin Williams and the type of feel-good movies he is usually in, I could actually tolerate him in this because he doesn't do silly voices. The only other movies I can stand in spite of him are World According to Garp and Fisher King. I got it in a trade, and I'll keep it just to watch the visuals in a few chapters once in a while.

This movie is really dirty, but pretty good. It starts off with this guy falling asleep and then you see his dream. There are all these naked lesbians doing crazy stuff with fruit, and they are suppounded by guys jerking off. Then this is a big orgy, one of the dirtiest I have seen!

It certainly earned the name, but "Wet Dreams and Cum" seems like a weird name even for a porno. Oh well.

Sure, I may offend a few of the blue-noses with my cocky stride and musky oders- oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called 'City Fathers' who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about 'What's to be done with this Homer Simpson?'"

Well I liked the movie. Both my wife and I thought it was a very good movie. The scenery was lush and colorful, the story was touching and thoughtful. So I'm pleased with "What dreams may come"

Funny thing about that Wet Dreams joke he said. I saw this at the theaters in Hawaii on vacation and my sister and I were laughing about the title so we switched the letters around above the door into that particular theater to read, Wet Dreams may come! I know, childish but you did remind me of something funny.

Onto the movie though:
Visuals are pretty good. Robin Williams wife is a babe (pretty messed up babe) but the plot and script is lame. I own the DVD too!

count me in as one of the few that enjoyed this movie. enjoy is a hard word b/c it is not very uplifting & lots of depressing stuff happens. i happen to be a fan of Richard Matheson who wrote the book that the movie was based on. he also did somewhere in time, legend of hell house, & others. if you liked somewhere in time, would think you would like what dreams may come. both have strong romantic themes but are not your normal tom hanks/meg ryan romantic movie. check it out.
