Which Black Rain are you referring to? There is a mainstream Ridley Scott film with Michael Douglas and harrowing Shohei Imamura film about the bombing of Hiroshima, both of which are available on DVD. I can only comment on the latter.

Black Rain is with Michael Douglas and
Andy Garcia as cops that travel to Japan
in search of bad guys. It is an excellant
film in my opinion. I have not seen the
DVD and would also like a review.

I rented this DVD awhile back. The movie was a pretty good 80's cop flick with Michael Douglas as a NYPD cop transfering a prisoner to Hong Kong (I think). As action films go, there is lots of action and good acting and character development. Definately worth a rental and possibly a purchase. The 5.1 audio and video (I don't remember if it was 16x9 enhanced or not) was very acceptable for a 80's release.

Sorry about the confusion. I was referring to the one starring Michael Douglas. Anyone else seen the dvd? Thanks.
