Holy bat-bump!

Question for Bottle Rocket owners... Is this disc anamorphic? Nothing, that I can see, in this thread about 16X9 enhancement... Mostly just a bunch of bitching about Rushmore.

Several reviews that I've read say that it IS anamorphic, but DVDTown lists it as not anamorphic in their database. Since it's such an old release, I thought I would ask to confirm. Any help appreciated!

It does not state it on the case, but I am pretty sure it is. I will check next time I go to my movie room.

However, it's a double-sided disk from Columbia TriStar, with anamorphic widescreen on side A and pan&scan on side B, and you know what Columbia TriStar have been doing with double-sided disks lately ......

holy crap...when are we gonna get a newer version of this film? i have been waiting so long and i really hope they can work out the criterion that has been rumored for a while.

Wait, wait...whu? Are you saying that they ELIMINATE the widescreen OAR side to make it pan & scam to lower the price or something! That sucks?

Yep, that's EXACTLY what Columbia TriStar have been doing lately with a lot of their previously double-sided releases. To make matters worse, they keep the UPC the same as well and just change the back cover to remove any mention of widescreen!
