With Halloween just around the corner, I was thinking about picking up this horror classic and was wondering what people thought of the SE. 800.com is selling it for $17.95 and since I live in CA there wouldn't be tax or S&H.
Thanks in advance!

DVD Talk Gold Edition
The movie itself is great and still scary! The disc is great! Has tons of extras... a few of the television spots really REALLY freaked me out. The sound, I thought, was great, but some have said that the sound on the non SE version was much better. It is DD5.1. The picture is really good, you have full frame and widescreen on the disc...and I believe it is also anamorphic. The documentary included is just as good too.
It's a great buy, even when I paid retail for it!

I have the SE edition. According to some other web sites' reviews.. the picture is much better in the SE edition as well as the sound.. although virtually identical to the non SE. However, the SE edition kicks the non SE edition to the curb. It features 2 comentaries.. a lengthy and informative documentary, trailers, and not to mention some creepy full screen video menus. One side is for the letterbox version of the film, the other side has all of the aditional supplements. It is amazing that Warner Bros put all of this stuff on one disk.. and for such a low price!
