Um, I dunno. Maybe because they've added the English dubbed version on the disc?

$39.95 is the standard Miramax Collector's Edition pricing. Another example is Clerks, which is also a CE from Miramax and lists for $40. Absolutely a rip off, but at least they're ripping you off at a consistent rate.
