My wife and I watched this movie last night
and we both enjoyed it quite a bit. I guess
I must be a Kevin Costner fan, because
I have enjoyed all of his latest movies that
others seem to dislike.
This disc(transfer) is magnificent! As
dvdfanatic already said, the scenery in this
movie is breathtaking and the transfer
handles it beautifully.
As for the movie itself, It really plays at
your heart strings. Without giving any
spoilers, My wife had a hard time holding
back the tears a few times(hey, I even had to
take a few deep breaths at times
).
Anyway, I thought it was a well done drama,
and I will be seeing it again.
After the movie, it was refreshing to see
such a well done menu.(the movie starts
automatically when you first pop in the disc)
And there's a commentary track, deleted
scenes and some hidden behind the
scenes features, as dvdfanatic already pointed
out.
My 2 cents

My wife and I rented this from Netflix and we both enjoyed it. Although sad, we appreciated the story and acting. I'm looking forward to Costner's next movie, "For the Love of the Game". He's always at his best when the movie deals with baseball.
I agree . . . Warner Bros. did an outstanding job with this DVD . . . great picture, sound, and extras. The five hidden bottles were cool.
Although we rented it, if you like romantic movies that may not have the happiest ending, then buy it.
