Excalibur?

DVD Talk Platinum Edition
I've never seen the movie Excalibur and I know many people seem to love this film. Can someone tell me if it is any good? Worth buying? Worth renting?

It isn't the best film ever made, but it definitely is the best movie I have seen based on the Arthurian legend. Great visuals, good actors, and very dramatic. I feel the last 45 minutes is a bit slow, but still worth watching-and owning if you like the medievil stuff like I do.

One of my all-time favorite movies. I've owned it on every format, and I've pre-ordered it for DVD. Hands-down the best movie to ever remotely deal with Arthurian legend. Boorman did a beautiful job with this film, and I believe there's supposed to be commentary...
