DVD Talk review of 'One Touch of Venus'
I read Jeffrey Kauffman's DVD review of One Touch of Venus at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=34940 and...am unable to find
the jumpy credits, frames missing, and
other damage he describes. I also think
the movie is better than the
"skip it" rating. Thanks.

Well of course the rating is simply opinion, but I'm astounded you can't see the quite bad dirt, debris, scratching and other damage that is sprinkled throughout the film, especially the first reel. For instance at 00:00:45 look at the tear during the producer credit, and then at 00:1:07 the warping which folds the image inward for a second or two. I'm a huge fan of the original stage musical and I find this film adaptation lackluster, to say the least.
