Highlander - The Animated Series?

This just came out on DVD.

Can anyone provide a review?
(Even if you haven't seen the DVD what about just the series)

Good, not bad, or skip it?

Also, is this the complete series or just the first voilume?

The box art shows Part I but I am not sure as descrptions at Amazon and DD say it's the complete series.

Thanks,

James

From what I understand they originally intended to release the show in season sets but
changed plans and went with a complete series set. You may have seen old box art, as
the newer box art has "The Complete Animated Series" on it. As for the show, I've only
seen one episode (a long time ago) and it was vastly different from the film/tv series.
Post apocalyptic/futuristic with not the greatest of artwork (kind of that US/anime mix).

Thanks!

The box art I have seen says "The Complete Animated Series" but then has a Part I in the lower right corner. Then the description (depending on the site) varies from 13 episodes to all 40.

Just want to make sure. $20.00 for the whole series is not bad. Even at a blind buy. But not 3 volumes at $20.00 each.

Well I ordered it. When I get it I will post the info. I am pretty sure it's the whole series of 40 episodes though.

Sorry it took so lomg to post the info. Went through some issues, including having to get a new TV as the old one blew out.

Anyway, yes all 40 episodes are in the box set. 4 discs in total.

We have a relative that pretty much gets a Highlander movie or TV series season set from us for each holiday/birthday, and I'm wondering how these animated eps stack up against the live action series.

Are they standard Saturday morning fare?

thanks
