DVD Talk review of 'The Taste of Tea'
I read Thomas Spurlin's DVD review of The Taste of Tea at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=29406 and I totally agree with his comment that this film is simply beautiful. Though I have seen this movie almost 3 years ago, it still remains as one of my favorite Japanese films.
It's quite apparent that Mr. Spurlin reviewed the single-disc edition due to the sparse extras. Viz Pictures released a two-disc edition that includes a 90 minute making of the film.

You're correct in the single-disc assumption. It's a shame that Viz couldn't find a way to wiggle in the Making Of Featurette onto the single-disc, especially since the performance quality isn't that demanding.
