Appleseed recommendations...
I enjoyed Appleseed even though I've never been a HUGE fan of Anime and the likes. I've seen the basics i.e. Akira, Ghost in the Shell, etc. but I was looking for some recommendations on others that have similar action to Appleseed.

It reminded me quite a bit of the original Bubblegum Crisis OVA series from the '80s - with much shinier animation, of course. The director, Shinji Aramaki, previously worked on BGC (and Megazone 23).
