Any "Cloak & Dagger" reviews?

it's a barebones 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen release with dolby digital 2.0 stereo sound in an amaray case with two "clamps" on the sides like the jaws dvd. the dvd is single layer (dvd-5).
no insert, no extras or trailor, no subtitles, no alternate language tracks, no menus even! the movie just starts playing and repeats at the end.
i did not notice any glaring video or audio problems, but a few times black spots (dust?) flash on the screen quickly and go away. there also seems to be minor grain present throughout the entire movie especially on static backgrounds, but then again i think every dvd is like that on my hdtv. i don't think it is very noticeable really.
this will probably never be released in hd-dvd/blu-ray unless it sells like crazy, so this may very well be the best you'll ever see it. it looks and sounds perfectly fine in every respect to me unless you are super picky, and it is anamorphic which is the most important thing here. the 2.0 dd sound is good enough as there is not much action or bass going on usually.
it would have been nice to throw on a trailor and a static menu screen, but it's kinda cool how it just starts playing.
if you are already a fan of the movie i recommend it, especially for the $5 to $8 you'll pay for it. it holds up very well and does not come off as lame watching it as an adult. it's strange seeing a little kid run around with guns and bombs in an airport no less though, and killing people, but this movie is 20 years old now. they don't make them like this anymore.

No menu screen, at all? Wow. I've never seen a DVD like that. But I'll probably buy this anyway. I enjoyed the movie when I was a kid, and remember watching it when I was a bit older and still enjoying it. And I'm a big Atari fan.

Borders sells it for $8. If you buy something this week, you get a register receipt coupon for 25% off any regularly priced item (Dec. 7 - 13, IIRC), including DVDs.

I got mine coming from DDD for $5.99. Should be here within a week now.
I looked at Target, Best Buy, WalMart.. heck, even Toys R Us.. on the DVD's release day and NONE of the stores had Cloak & Dagger. Best Buy said none of their stores in my area had it either.
