DVD Talk Review of Mrs. Winterbourne

I just finished watching it and I have to agree with most of Adam Tyner's review, but I'd like to add a few thoughts even though it's an old movie (1996) and my daughter picked it up in a bargin bin at Target or Walmart for only $5.
The director, Richard Benjamin, used a delicious choice of yellow and blue for the entire film. At first it drove me crazy, trying to figure out WHY, but by the end of the film I didn't care WHY, I was enjoying the uniqueness of it all. It did occur to me that perhaps those colors were chosen to flatter Ms. Maclaine, who like me, is not getting any younger and due to her natural redhead's complexion might be better served in a softer light. Whatever the reason for the choice, it made an otherwise predictible film refreshing and different.
The other thing that I can't fathom is why Paula Prentiss, Richard Benjamin's lovely wife of a gazillion years, was not credited for her role as the nurse. She did a bang up job of it too. I've always enjoyed her work and it was great seeing her again. She should of been given credit where credit was surely due.
Even if the plot was trite, it warms the cockles of my heart to see a beautiful movie with a beginning, a middle, and an end. I recommend it to all us old gals and guys that enjoy romantic comedies.
