Haven't seen the DVD, but the movie gets a big thumbs-down from me. Stallone can only remake Rocky so many times before it just gets really, really old...

There is a thread out there already with Driven reviews. I asked for reviews when it first came out. I can't post the link in here right now, but do a search on my name or on Driven and you should find it.

My quick review is: I bought it as a popcorn flick. It doesn't have much of a plot or great acting, but it does have fast cars, good sound, and a kick butt racing scene through the streets of Chicago.

My Driven Review:

Cheesy dialogue and characters. Stallone wrote it; what did you expect.

Excellent visuals and sound. The panoramic views of the race tracks are very well done. I've seen this DVD for $9 as a previously viewed movie at Hollywood Video. To me it's worth the $9 bucks for the visuals alone.

The visuals were awful. The race scenes look cartoonish, you can really notice the computer animated scenes. It would have been much, much more better if they used real car stunts.

But it was an okay popcorn film.

I don't know who was more bored with this movie, Stallone or me. Stallone could have used some no-doze. As for the plot. What plot? It was stupid nonsense. The only good part of the movie was when it was over.

And then there was 'Get Carter.' Talk about total crap. I guess Stallone's career is on the down.
