...DVD is barebones (DVD-10, one side P&S, one side anamorphic 1.85:1)... Aaron Beierle says the transfer is none-to-good, and recommends renting rather than buying the disc...

I saw this in the theatres years ago.
Boy, was I disappointed. For some reason, at that point in my life, I was not adverse to seeing romantic comedies if they looked intelligent or charming enough. This proved to be neither.
The chemistry doesn't quite work. I thought politics would play a bigger role in this, but instead, what could have been interesting addition to a standard romantic comedy plot, sort of gets forgotten and the whole move is very very (sub) standard romantic comedy.
In my opinion, not even worth a rental.
