Shouldn't this be over at DVD talk instead of movie talk.
BTW, I liked this DVD especially for $9.99, even though the transfer was nonanamorphic.
cheers, Tony Block

This film boasts some strong, striking colors (a la Dario Argento's Suspiria) and some great little effects - I showed this to a group of students at a local art school and they really enjoyed it.
It has that 60's Drive-In vibe going, yet there are no cheesy monsters. I was surprised at how well the psychological aspect played the role of the monster.
When you watch this, you'll see some striking resemblences to Ridley Scotts Alien:
the "space jockey" sequence is damn near shot for shot, the spaceship looming in the background in "Vampires" looks just like the shots of the derelict craft from Alien (shape and all) and the terrain itself is almost the same - add strong winds and you'll have the same shots in Alien.
There is also a twilight zone-ish twist to the film. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this film.
Oh yeah, this one boasts the coolest costumes in ANY space movie.

I've always remembered this movie BECAUSE of the cool as hell leathers they wear in this film...
That & because it's pretty damm creepy & pretty cool!! I snatched it up not even remembering the title but the uniforms.
I got it b-4 Haloween, but in my usual M.O. I still havn't watched it yet....
I really have to stop doing that...
For the $10 price, you can't beat it even if you only watch it every HALOWEEN for some campy fun.
