I was just wondering if they make a Y connector for Digital Optical Cable to hook 2 DVD players to a Reciever. I only have 1 Optical input on my Reciever for the DVD and I have a DVD player and a Playstation 2. I want to hook both to my Reciever to get the full benefit of the optical sound.

I use the Audio Authority Model 1177 between my PS-2 and digital tunner/satallite - I have 5 optical sources and only 4 inpunts on my receiver so this works out well and when I get a Tivo I can use it for that as well

I got mine from a local company that I also got my HDTV monitor, Progressive Scan DVD player, digital tunner, and soem Vampire Wire from them, they have a www site

I've seen a much mucher cheapr device at Circuit City, but I'm not sure how good it will be.

Now if I can just find someoen to make me a component video switching box for my Progressive Scan DVD palyer and PS-2

That's the one I saw at Circuit City. The Audio Authority one I mentioned is active, while the Recton is passive. I have noticed absoutly no loss of sound quality with the AA model. Guess it can't hurt to try the Recton, you'll have to manually switch it, where as the AA automatically takes the active singal and passes it on to your receiver.
