I have an old pro logic reciever that I have had for years and years, although I have hardly ever used it. I know I would be better to go buy a new one I was hoping to maybe get another 6 mo. out of it while I save for a good reciever. The problem is that everything works except the front speakers... I hook everything up and it all comes on and you can hear the surround sound but no fronts. Any Ideas?
Thanks,

Try:
-- Lowering the center and surround +/- volume, maybe they are overpowering the mains.
-- Selecting A/B speaker switch, mabe they are off or on the wrong setting. Maybe even move them to B because A isn't working (?).
-- Triple check your sepaker connections, try replacing all the wire. Maybe there's a short. Try swapping speakers, maybe one is blown. Check watt/ohm rating to make sure they are similar and compatable.
-- Check the source material. Find a good, balanced surround sound movie.
-- Use '3-Stereo' and 'Phantom Center' mode. That will isolate the mains.
-- Maybe the receiver is busted. Highly unlikely, since the surrounds work, but check for a blown fuse inside or other signs of aging and corrosion inside. Maybe she's just had it, y'know.
Best of luck.
