Hi
Ok were i live in lovely Aaustralia, we dont get the movies that the US guys get straiaght, away in fact we dont even get some at all (saving private Ryan)
So i decided to get my nice new Sony 366 DVD player multiregioned not thinking this would cause any harm..
I was browsing this site when i came across a FAQ about RCE.
URl : http://www.dvdtalk.com/rce.html
now this does not sound to good at all.
I tryed out perfect storm (region 4 copy) and it works fine
1.does the RCE only apply to region 1 dvds???
2.I need more info, the list in the FAQ has my dvd player in it, it says something about passing, does this mean that my dvd will not be effected by RCE ???
3 is there anyway if could get the dvd player back to how it was???

At the moment, the only movies that I know of of which are RCE encorded are 1. The Patriot and 2. The perfect storm and they are a couple of new ones coming out with the RCE encorded, its only 2 companies which have come with this crap, Sony/Warner.
