Got the RV30 today and connected it to WEGA. I am not sure if it's ok to have the top and bottom clipped off. I set the DVD to 16:9. WEGA says it automatically detects widescreen output and compresses the height for a higher resolution.

The resolution is good but I ate the top and bottom clips. I tried setting the DVD to 4:3 and some changed some other options but the top/bottom is always cut off. There is no setting on the WEGA to turn it off.

Is there a way to have the top/bottom not cut-off with this TV - I hate to change to a wide-screen already

Need a real widescreen TV

OK - I get it. I need a real widescreen TV. WEGA is just hyping they can detect the widescreen input and display the full picture, cut-offs at top/bottom are natural for a TV like WEGA
