Marantz DVD player DV-18 problem NEED MAJOR HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having major pain with my player. I just bought it 6 months ago.. and now hving some problems. i am not sure what's wrong..
When i put some dvds inside, it says "NO DISC" I noticed that, this is happening for all the Gold dvds i try to play. But the player can play the Silver Dvds... THis is very strange... And for VCDs i can play most VCDs but still again, i cant play some..it say "ERROR"
I will be great if anyone can help!!

Have you tried unplugging it for a minute or so?
If that doesn't work, you should talk to the dealer you bought it from (assuming you bought it new) about getting it fixed under the warranty.
Maybe other people here have other ideas?

Have you tried a lens cleaner? You can use a CD player one.
