I can't help with a review but I wanted to throw out a question to you.
Do you have a receiver that has 5.1/DTS inputs on it?
The reason is a stand alone decoder will only provide you with a decoded signal which must be passed on to a preamp/amplifier.

no i don't have a reciever
i have a sub/amp that has a g9(din) input
that sends the 5 audio signals to the speakers.
so i take the output from the ps2 (dd/dts) it goes to be decoded to a decoder (what i'm looking for) then it goes to the sub/amp that sends the siginals to the sub and speakers
i need a standalone decoder that has a g9 output
got all that ??
whew

Yep, I understand. Well, the DE-005 sure seems like a nice piece of equipment. It has tons of inputs and several different modes, has a remote. Can you buy it local to you in PA at a decent price? I notice they are based out of California. I searched around for any reviews but couldn't find a thing.
Sorry I couldn't help more, maybe someone else knows this unit.

I'm betting the cost will be somewhere in the neighborhood of a decent DD/DTS receiver and if it turns out to be that way then do yourself a HUGE favor and go with the receiver instead!
