Does anyone out there know where I can get a decent subwoofer (at least 100 watt) for under 200 bucks? Coupons would be cool too!..Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Yamaha YST-SW160, a 150 Watt sub, with two 8" sub-woofers can be found at the best price of $220 on pricegrabber.com or mysimon.com which can be used at any Sear B&M store. I consider this an extreme value for a little over $200. Hope this may help your decision, you get what you pay for...

You can also look at the Dahlquist subs on uBid. PDQ1200 & 1500 (12" & 15") and both can be had for under $200. Listed at 400-500 "peak" watts, but are really 100 & 150 I believe.

I bought the AudioSource SW-15 right around Christmas. It is $224 at Amazon.com (where I bought mine) with the free shipping. I think they may be sold at discount clubs also. Checkout http://www.audioreview.com for reviews and where others have purchased them. It is an awesome 15", 200-watt powered sub. Great bang for the buck! It shakes my entire livingroom. Stuff it with fiber to reduce boominess and it is even better.

read reviews for all of the above (especially the KLH) at www.audioreview.com

then go buy the Sony SA-WM40 (if you can find it). nothing in this price range is even in the ballpark.

I am waiting for my Sony to arrive.

HAD a KLH for two days, then it blew out. Sounded good while it lasted...(Yeah, THAT makes sense..)

In the meantime, I am using this Jensen I picked up at Sears for $179..I'm sure the audiophiles will say it sucks, but it roars, and also has a nice subtle presence.

I also tried an AR..huge, heavy..and kinda flat and muddy.
