OK, I have a bit of a problem. I have just brought off of a friend a creative pc dvd dxr2 5x dvd rom and crad and it has installed fine. It has all the latest drivers and etc but I have one BIG problem. I can see and hear the dvd but the picture qulity is really, really poor. so far as to say I can only see 3/4 of it and it is grany and bitty. Please tell me what I have to do to fix this. I had to buy a new pass through cable and I cant use creatives own softwear cos I cant set the regon code on the drive. but I can use windows own wich uses the hardwear (win ME). Any help that you can give me on any of these queires would be great.

Jos

P.S. sorry bout the bad spelling, not my forte!!!!!

What kind of PC do you have? What kind of processor and video card do you have?

The video card and processor are probably the two biggest things that can cause very grainy DVDs on a PC.

Three years ago, I bought a first generation DVD-ROM for my brand new (at the time) Pentium II. Well, the thing skips a lot when it plays and the video quality is not too great, but you have a fairly new 5x drive, and you installed a hardware decoder card.

So let's take a look at your processor, processor speed, and the video card on your computer.
