Playstation 2 DVD Question?

Hello. Merry Christmas everybody- quick question. My bro got a PS2 for christmas and wants to take over the room I have my Toshiba in. Just curious as to how good the dvd on ps2 is?

I have a Panasonic A110 which is very good along with a Sony 330......the playstation 2 is decent but cannot compare to these stand-alone players!!! If it is all you have then go for it....otherwise, stick with your main dvd player for watching movies. 
Oh...I also have the PS2 so my opinion is from first hand experience...

I agree. While the PS2 is a decent DVD player, a stand alone player will do a better job.
