Now that is funny! MSRP $8999.99 incl. A/V Cabinet. Must be a great cabinet.

I'd be willing to spring $8999.00, but that extra 99¢ is rubbing salt in the wound. I think I'll stick with my 65" mits for 1/2 the price.

Unless I am mistaken, this Tv has been on the market for atleast 12 months now... For $9000, you can get the best of the best projection, and while it might not be as bright, a top of the line Mistu or Pioneer Elite will blow this Sony out of the water in terms of image quality.
