I am looking for a decent DVD player for around or less than $200 for my parents for Christmas. They barely know how to set the clock on the VCR, so it doesn't need to have too many bells and whistles. Just a nice solid DVD player for the $. Digital/DTS decoding is NOT an issue... Any help would be greatly appreciated...

hey PhatBenny, I see you're from my neck of the woods Anyhow, for a solid DVD player I reccomend the Sony DVP-S360. I have had one for about 5 months and have had no problems at all with it. If your parents want to be able to play CD-R music CDs, then the Pioneer DV-333 is an excellent choice. You might want to check out Tweeter Etc. on Route 44 in Avon if you want to see the players in person. Good luck
