I have been checking out the messages regarding a surround sounds system. I recently purchased the Str-De945. My question is to find a set of speakers for this receiver. Anyone recommend a set of Energy take 5's and a JBL pb10 with this? I am completely new to this kind of thing, so any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Sony DE-935 and if you are looking for the best bang for your buck, look into Klipsch's Quintet series. It costs about $250 for the five main speakers and then another $250 for a 10" subwoofer. I love the setup and it sounds awesome for DD and DTS movies, but if you have a large room or more money to burn, then look into their synergy series. Either way, I love the Klipsch sound with the 935 and you might want to give them a try. Their website is www.klipsch.com

By the way, welcome to the forum

I also have a DE935 that I run with the Klipsch Synergy Series speakers and it really sound great! I definitely recommend Klipsch.
