Hi, I am having the following problem with my receiver....
1)only on DTS tracks
2)get "buzz" in the rear/center speakers
3)problem would appear 3/4 time during the playback of a DVD title
4)each time the problem is corrected by doing one of the following... a)turn receiver off and on.... b)select another audio track and switch back to the DTS track

Can this be caused by bad wiring? If so, why only on DTS track?
I fear that this is a faulty DTS decorder....

Have you tried using different cable yet to see if that solves the problem?

I have the same HK avr500 receiver and is also having the same problems. This is actually my second receiver. I dont know what really causes the buzzing in speakers but Im assuming that its the DTS decoder (buzzing only occurs when playing a movie in the DTS format. My suggestion is return the receiver where you bought it and try to get another brand...Im certainly going to...
