Needing help with AV/HDMI cable
My Direct Satellite receiver does not have HDMI output - only red/white/yellowRCA out jacks. My new flatscreen has four HDMI inputs so is there such a thing as RCA to HDMI conversion cable? At least 5 to 6'?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Leave it to Monoprice to have one. With shipping, it would be more than $50.
Is that really your only option? It doesn't have component video, with red, green and blue inputs? Monoprice also has those converters, which would make a little more sense, but seriously, do yourself a favor and get a new box.

My friend asked me to come to his place and set up his entire new system and he also has Direct TV and the old box. I told him to call them up and get a new HD box. He told me they wanted to charge him something like $100 for it. Direct TV sucks.

You can usually get out of such things. But it can be a pain. We used to call it CSR roulette. Call, if they want to charge say no thanks, hang up. Call again, repeat. Or you can find discussion online about deals, then you know what to ask about.

It doesn't have component outputs (red, blue, and green RCA plugs)?
If it does, I'd use those, since satellite doesn't broadcast in 1080p anyway.
