What is a good budget dd/dts receiver? (if there is such a thing...)
Just got a dv-333 and won't be buying new equipment for a while but I need something to target when I'm saving up

It depends on what your budget is going to be. In the 500-600 range, the Outlaw is difficult to beat. In the $1000 range, you might consider the Denon 3801 or the newer Pioneer Elite line or the Sony ES line. Above $1000 you might look at the Denon 4800 which can be bought for around $1300.

He's giving some excellent advice. Those are some of THE best performers at their price marks.
Below the $400 mark:
Onkyo 575x - $399
Yamaha 5240/596a - $279
Sony DB830 - $319
Onkyo575 refurb - $299
Denon 1801 - $325
Lesser recommendations:
Pioneer 509s - $275
Kenwood vr-309/vr-407 - $250
Sherwood 8090 - 200
