I am thinking about getting an RF Modulator, but I would like to know if it will actually pass a stereo signal through the coax cable if a stereo signal is input to the modulator box.
The reason I'm looking at getting one is because I currently have a coax cable going from the satelite receiver to my bedroom and which only provides a mono signal (which means no Pro Logic from TV shows). The receiver has A/V jacks, so it won't be a problem getting the stero signal, just a matter of getting it to my bedroom.

The RF Modulator at Radio Shack (Part #15-1244) implies that it might be able to do this if you read the preperation section. I don't want to get this if it won't do the job, but hope it does because I don't want to have to pay $70 for a wireless video sender.

The RF modulator will not help you here. First, what it does is convert composite signals to RF so that you can connect the video source through a 75 ohm RF connector i.e., connect a DVD player to a tv with no composite inputs. It sounds like you already have an RF connection to your set.
You should run cables from the sat receiver's composite stereo outputs to your television or receiver.

I do have an RF connection but it is only a mono signal since that is what the satelite reciever outputs through the coax but does have stereo output jacks. I already have the coax running to my bedroom and would like to avoid running another 50ft of AV cables and making my holes in the floor any bigger.

Sorry -- an RF Modulator just will not do what you want it to do.
Have you considered a wireless stereo audio transmitter?
