I have an older Toshiba 27HLV95 and I have a DVD stuck in the drive that won't eject. It makes a few noises like its going to eject and it doesn't. I hit eject again and it thinks theres a disc waiting to be played.

I searched online but didn't find anything for this problem.

If you let it be for a few days, the motor may be able to eject one more time. You can also take it completely apart, but if the TV part is still ok, that limits you to doing it carefully.

There is a 3rd option, which may actually be the cheapest. Rebuy the DVD.

But since the player won't eject, he can't play any disc.

Hopefully, by now, you would've either successfully opened up the set and got the disc out or you threw the combo out the window and got separate units

If the DVD is jammed in the slot, try turning off the unit and before starting it up, put another CD in the slot to put a little pressure on the stuck DVD for a second or so as the unit starts up. My assumption is that the DVD did load properly, is only mostly loaded and is preventing the ejection mechanism from working. The probable situation is that the power ejection sytem is broken, a burnt out motor. If you open up the unit, search for any fuses inside that could have blown.
