Help!! Panasonic a105 "LOCKED"

Help.
I have a Panasonic A105 that a couple of weeks ago I was watching a movie when the power blinked, when the power came back on the DVD player displayed "LOCKED". I unpluged it for a couple of hours and everything went back to normal.
Over the weekend we rented some movies and brought them home to watch and the DVD was Locked again. This time unpluging it did not work. I called tech support and they could not help me. We tried reseting the parental control and also unlocking the tray. All that shows when powering the DVD on is "WELCOME TO DVD WORLD" and then it says "WELCOME" and gets stuck. None of the switches work except the power button then it will display the "LOCKED".
My unit is out of warrenty, can it be fixed or is it worth it?
