Reciever Conflict

I have an older reciever that is not compatible with dolby digital stuff is there any way to get around that?

None that I know of outside of purchasing a new receiver!!!

There are work arounds but they usually end up costing as much as or more then just buying a DTS/DD capable receiver.

Check out the Vantas DPA series of upgrade products if your older stuff is good enough to keep.

DTS and DD recievers are below 200 for some models right now. Its worth it to do a cheap upgrade now and wait out seeing if DD 7.1 catches fire or is surpassed.
