JL Audio?

I've been invited by a HT store where I have purchased several things to demo JL subs. I guess they just became an authorized dealer. I'm curious because they don't usually send out spam or bug their customers. Any experience with this brand?

They produce excellent car audio equipment, and make some critically applauded subs. If I could afford their products, I would buy them.

Their subs are pretty darn amazing. As the previous poster said, if I could afford them, I'd seriously consider them.

Re: JL Audio?

Their top sub is the Gotham, $12000. Very hard to find specs on it beyond the limited stuff they publish. Looks nice. Read a review that says, "The Gotham is a blue-chip subwoofer" and "There are many subs that cost way more than the Gotham that can't match its level of performance and output." So I don't know what the hell they are saying.

I'd love to see the sub that costs "way more" than $12000.

Oh, and my sub appears to match this in sound capability. Originally $1300. Quite a steal, I guess.

Re: JL Audio?

I use and like thier car products alot.

I was not aware of home audio components. Based on their car audio reputation they would be worth a listen

Re: JL Audio?

Well, after finding out the little I could about their prices I'm forced to assume this store has grossly overestimated my interest in subs. I think I'll continue to "suffer" with my HSU.
