Need help.. Best Buy 50"+ tv's
Best Buy has their Tv's over $1000 on a 3 year pay plan this week.
I bought my 42" Sony 720p/1080i rear projection 4 years ago. That was before HD / Blu and PS3. It was $1400
I was planning on getting a new 50"+ tv over the holidays when they do this 3 year pay plan so I have done 0 searching and planning.
The only thing is I was HDnation on Revision3 and they were talking about 240rez coming. Two are out now but 1 does it with software and onother does it with hardware..
Now I'm going to go crazy $$ wise but $2000 - $4000 is planned that would be about $100 a month...
thankz for any help

Well, you haven't asked any sort of question, so I don't know what kind of information you're looking for. But you'll likely get a better response if you e-mail a mod and ask for this thread to be moved to the HT hardware area, located here. This area is more for computer-type stuff.

There are several topics on this over in the HT section. You'd probably get a lot of your questions answered by looking through those, which can then inform new questions you might have.

With no specific question I'm not sure what you're asking. Is this a good deal on TV's? Probably. Will there be another possibly better one? Yes. Will whatever you buy be outdated by the time it's paid off in 3 years? Yes.
It appears as though you were planning on a future purchase and with this deal you are inclined to accelerate your purchase. If you're ready to make the jump, go for it. When I was shopping I found there was no way to get the absolute lowest price, or best deal because a week later someone else could match it or beat it by $10. The best you can hope for is a fair deal from a place with it in stock that will stand behind the purchase if there is a problem.

OK... I forgot the important part..
I basically wanted idea's for good TV's from people that might have already been looking..
It's going to take me more that a week to narrow down everything that's out there down to 2 or 3.
Back when I got my Sony 42" I did not like the Plasmas that were out at the time.
I'm leaning towards a thin LCD, or what ever its called now. Like I said I have not kept up with TV tech for the last 4 years..
thankz

One of the deal sights was showing the Panasonic Plasma (720p) 50" for less then $700 at Sams Club! That is an awesome deal.

The majority of the board will be recommending Panasonic and Samsung. There are numerous threads and they all besically have the same thoughts. My uncle has the 46" SONY top-o-the-line and I'll admit is one fine looking TV

I'm actually bucking the popular suggestions and opting for the new Sharp LED 52" LC52LE700UN. Got it for a great price $1699.99, and after seeing it go up against a Samsung and Sony, it was easy to choose for a lot less the price.
