My opinion would be that it can't even create a proper stereo soundfield.

My opinion is the same as it always is with this vendor.

Go to a store, compare this product to others and decide for yourself. And in the likely event that you cannot compare this product or even see it demonstrated, ask yourself why.

It should work. So long as you only use Monster Cable to connect to your display and the subwoofer.....

I used to sell Bose but granted that was a long time ago. I can tell you one thing, the corporate philosophy has always been come up with decent sound, a great gimmick and overcharge the shit out of it.
