Any beefs with the Toshiba SD2200?

I'm very close to buying this player, but have heard it can't play Matrix. Is this true? Any other problems I should be aware of?

Not true, it plays it fine. There aren't any known problems with it.

It plays the Matrix without a glitch.It is one of the top inexpensive DVD players available.

i think its worse than the previous toshiba 3109 though. even though some people comment on it being better , I think its not. The model # is lower (2200 vs. 3109), so it indicates a slightly worse product in terms of construction.

That sound like illogical thinking to me. Model numbers have no bearing on build quality, even though build quality is in general not as good as it used to be on electronic/electric consumer products.
