I have a 50" Sony RPTV, I don't know the exact model. It is pretty old, approximately 6 years old. The problem with it is that the picture is kind of blurry and the right side of the screen is misaligned. What I mean by misaligned is that the red color would shift downward. I've tried calibrating with the H/V line test but the red line would not be straight, it would curve downward on the right side of the screen. Some have suggested that I get the inside checked out. But how hard is it to adjust the gun manually or clean the inside? Please help me out.

Unless you're very technically inclined, I would think you'd be better off just hiring someone to come in and do the work for you.

You also might want to consider getting your system calibrated at the same time. Check out http://www.imagingscience.com/ for recommendations of people in your area who can probably fix this problem for you as well as make your TV look better than you ever thought possible.

Good luck.
