Thanks...how does that work with the Logitech? Good? I have the normal Bluetooth remote which works great, but it would be nice to only have one remote out.

it works well - i used it with a 550. you have manually toggle the PS3 power. IIRC, the "OK" or "enter" button is not mapped to the "x" button on the PS3 controller and needs to be changed. other than that, it works fine.

Would anyone care to offer opinions as to the advantages and disadvantages of that model versus the more expensive ones?

Yup. The only issue I have is that it doesn't turn the PS3 on or off - but I never leave discs in the player, so i have to go over to the machine every time I use it anyways.
