50" Plasma Recommendations

TallGuyMe has got me seriously considering the Samsung 61" LED DLP also. Any thoughts on that compared to the 50" 720p Panasonic plasma?
I hope to visit a couple of stores this week to see them both in person. I'm thinking I will ultimately have a difficult time choosing between the two since one is a little smaller than I would like but is a little cheaper as well as offering a picture quality that I gather it is a little better at least whilst the other is closer to an ideal size but DLP picture quality hasn't impressed me from my limited exposure unless one is directly in front of it at eye level.
Any opinions and info that might come in use when looking at them in store is appreciated.
